  • Discharged debt is reported improperly: When a debt is discharged through bankruptcy, settlement, or litigation, the account status must be updated, or the account must be removed entirely.
  • An account is reported more than once: Creditors can't report a single account as multiple accounts.
  • Inaccurate information is reported after a dispute: Creditors can't re-report information about an account that was previously found to be inaccurate.
